Community Health Charities of Georgia (CHCG) is pleased to announce the addition of three new Board members. CHCG connects Georgia employees with health and wellness information, volunteer opportunities and the ability to direct donations to the local health charities of their choice. CHCG, the only workplace giving program devoted exclusively to health, currently provides access to 42 participating health charities.
“One of every three Georgia employees is personally affected by health issues, so it’s critical that we maintain strong leadership at the Board level to help us reach the many employers who are not aware of Community Health Charities,” said CEO Brenda Horne. “Personally and professionally, our new Board members are perfect for the task.”
Lori Warrens currently serves as Executive Director of the Partnership for Quality Medical Donations, an organization that aims to advance the quality of medical donations worldwide. Her past nonprofit experience includes eight years with United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta, where she served as COO and Executive Vice President as well as Vice President of United Way 2-1-1.
Mike Gault, currently the Executive Director of the American Diabetes Association for Atlanta/North Georgia, has over 25 years of experience with health nonprofits. His career includes numerous leadership positions with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Arthritis Foundation, as well as the American Diabetes Association.
Tobyanne Sidman, a former business owner and educator, has extensive volunteer experience with a variety of nonprofits, including the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta and several health-related organizations. She was also co-founder of the Georgia Breast Cancer Coalition.
“Needless to say, these three individuals bring a wealth of nonprofit experience to the table,” Horne said. “They are certain to make valuable contributions as Community Health Charities works to connect Georgia employees with the many health resources they need as well as volunteer opportunities.”
