Marietta and McWhirter Realty Partners of Smyrna recently celebrated the grand opening of Kennestone East Office Park and Georgia Commerce Bank at the corner of Cherokee Street and Canton Road, adjacent to Kennestone Hospital and announced plans to develop the rest of the block, which is under contract.

The office park, located in the heart of Marietta's medical/professional office community, is a new Class-A development with two buildings consisting of over 55,000 square feet of medical office space, general office space and a full-service bank.

Barry McWhirter says McWhirter Realty Partners has put the rest of the block under contract for development. "We are going to start master planning it, and we can see a connection with all these buildings up to the hospital, particularly a pedestrian connection. We're looking forward to working with the city and its residents, the hospital, WellStar and the surrounding buildings."
