Bar-B-Cutie in Acworth Brings Some of Nashville’s Finest Barbecue to Cobb County

Published Mar 7, 2008

For fifty years Bar-B-Cutie has developed a reputation in Nashville for its great pork barbecue, hamburgers, soups, ribs and wings among other special items. More recently, Ed Kellam who first worked in corporate America for thirty years with Elizabeth Arden, has now followed his dreams as he has opened up their first franchise outside Tennessee right here in Acworth. Kellam had always dreamed about owning his own barbecue restaurant.

For Kellam, this labor of love involves cooking all of the meat at Bar-B-Cutie for seventeen hours per day, seven days a week. The results include a takeout menu (takeout constitutes about 40-45% of their business) replete with barbecue sandwiches, baby-back ribs, beef briscuit meals and sandwiches, mesquite chicken, hickory-smoked turkey and seven different family packs. At the restaurant which is located at 3466 Cobb Parkway in Acworth, you can also get traditional Southern dinners like roast turkey with cornbread dressing, roast beef with gravy, Virginia Baked Ham, Special hand-stuffed spuds, burgers, sides, assorted salads and desserts.

To order food for takeout call (770) 917-8436. They are open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday. To view their full menu check out the company’s website at www.bar-b-cutie.com . You can enjoy their food now in Acworth and coming soon Kellam will be opening his second Bar-B-Cutie restaurant in Cherokee County.

For critically acclaimed BBQ in Cobb County, along with a heap of other great food, stop in Acworth at Bar-B-Cutie with your friends or pick up a reasonably-priced family pack to take home and feed your entire posse.
