Published Nov 14, 2007

What is the answer for those of you with children in homeschooling?  Where can you find suitable books? Help with devising the right curriculum? Other resources necessary to your child’s education?  Possibly instruction in small classes?  Extracurricular activities to supplement the course load?

The answer is simple: Homeschool University.

Established in 2001 Homeschool University offers all of the needed services to aid you in providing for your child’s homeschool education.  Not only is Homeschool fully  accredited by the Georgia Accreditation Commission, it is the first homeschool to qualify as a member of the National Beta Club.

With a new Headmaster, Debbie Long who had previously been the Dean of Students, the school  is excited about the new school year.  Of last year’s fifty-two graduates,  thirty-nine won Hope Scholarships.   The faculty and staff looks forward to continuing this success.

The differing types of assistance you may need for your child is available at Homeschool.   Offering tools for  students in grades 6 through 12  in Pickens, Cherokee, North Fulton and Cobb counties, Homeschool University has well-planned curricula for all of the core subjects (math, English, science and history) as well as electives( including multiple language courses and religious instruction).   If you need to find books for your child’s classes, Homeschool maintains an extensive inventory of textbooks for all types of classes.  If you wish you for your child to take part in classes at Homeschool, whose classes  never exceed 15 students, are also available from our well-trained  faculty.

Homeschool University also addresses other parts of your children’s education.  They are looking  forward to the start of its basketball season in October.  Last year’s team finished 4th in the State.  Homeschool believes in supplementing your child’s education with extracurricular activities.  In addition, Homeschool takes pride in the offering religious instruction as an elective.  Relying on its Christian values and principles, students who take classes are held to high standards of conduct, the benefits of which are exemplified by the strong academic performances of many of its students.

Homeschool does not mandate any particular level of involvement.  From providing books and resources to offering curriculum development or actual classes,  Homeschool University is the place for any or all of your homeschooling needs.  Its offices and facilities are open Monday through Thursday from 8 to 5.  For more information, check out its website at www.homeschoolhsu.com.   The task of providing for your child’s homeschooling experience will be made much easier.
