Your Web Tip of The Month From Web Design Partners

There are many ways to generate free traffic to your website. As a follow-up to last month’s “Web Tip”, we’re going to revisit the possibility of using blogs.

One of the easiest ways to significantly increase the number of targeted visitors to your website is to submit comments on popular forums or blogs.

In a recent article one blogger had his page views tripled in 24 hours simply by commenting on a post to one of his favorite blogs!

Here are the tips to make this work for you:

• Identify forums and blogs which visitors to your website would likely visit on a regular basis.
• Go to those sites and create an account. The essential “tip” is to be sure to add your website address to the signature at the end of your comment. ALWAYS be sure to add your signature and website URL to your posts.
• Become an active participant in your chosen forums or blogs. Since the content will be related to your area of expertise, you’ll be able to offer your knowledge and help other people with their problems. You’ll be amazed at the help you will receive in return!
• Don’t spam the forums/blogs with blatant sales messages. This will cause people to refuse to respond to you and this doesn’t help your cause at all.

You will fulfill two goals by following the above tips:

• Your target audience will view you as an expert in your field.
• Your link popularity will increase, as the link in your signature will point back to your website. This is how the traffic to your website will significantly increase.

Help! How do I get started?

If you haven’t located forums or blogs that are specifically related to your industry, just go to any Search Engine and type in your industry (or target audience) and then either the word forum or blog. Choose the results that seem the most interesting to you, read through some recent posts and post your own message to offer your expertise to the group.
