Wireless Internet access is now available in all Cobb County public libraries, with the exception of the Powder Springs Library which will also have the service when its new facility opens Tuesday, January 22. Wireless access is available in the Adult Services areas of libraries and their multipurpose rooms. A current library card and Personal Identification Number (PIN) is required in order to access the network.

Guest wireless cards for nonresidents are available to adults with identification. These temporary cards are good for wireless internet access only, not for checking out library materials. The temporary wireless cards are limited to a 30 day time period, but are renewable. Wireless access through the library’s network is subject to the same filtering restrictions as the library’s workstations. The Powder Springs Branch Library on Marietta Street will close Wednesday, January 2 in preparation for the openings its new location at 4181 Atlanta St. later in the month.
