Located at 105 E. Main Street in bustling downtown Woodstock, The Serene Bean is a coffee house completely devoted to its customers. Lara Randall, owner, was a casualty of corporate restructuring in 2002 and opened The Serene Bean in 2004 to facilitate community connections. Managed by Bill Randall, The Serene Bean is a coffee house that sets and meets high expectations – from the service their customers receive to their desire to strengthen community ties.
Not only does this coffee house set the tone for relaxation and connecting with friends, its comprehensive menu consisting of all-natural, healthy foods absent of MSG or fillers, such as salads and sandwiches, is anchored by a wide variety of handmade, specialty coffees. Combine this with the wide variety of fresh baked cookies and deserts and it’s no wonder customers keep coming back for more.
With an atmosphere that consists of spacious seating equal to a neighborhood living room and available Wi-Fi, The Serene Bean encourages customers to sit down and stay awhile. In addition to a welcoming environment and courteous staff that connects with customers, The Serene Bean also works diligently to connect with local musicians and artists. Every Friday and Saturday nights, The Serene Bean hosts a variety of live, local musicians entertaining in styles ranging from bluegrass and folk to gospel and jazz. There is also an open-mic night on Wednesdays. The works of artists and photographers from area schools, colleges, and the private sector are also displayed.
Visit The Serene Bean from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. For additional information, including their complete menu and catering availability, visit their website at www.theserenebean.com or call (770) 924-8433.
