Banks & Shane has had capacity crowds dancing in the aisles to party favorites and reminiscing with memorable ballads for over 30 years. On Saturday, June 21 at 8 p.m., their high-energy, hard-kicking, blow-the-roof off band will return to Kennesaw’s historic train Depot for a FREE outdoor concert.
A legendary band known for their showmanship and high-spirited renditions of old-time rock n’ roll, folk bluegrass and country, Banks & Shane has performed at venues around the world including London, Munich and Amsterdam; as well as at the Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta, and ski resorts throughout Colorado.
Banks & Shane is comprised of Banks Burgess on banjo and guitar, Paul Shane on guitar and trombone, Randy Feagin on drums, Benny Boynton on keyboards and bass, and Tim Price on electric guitar, mandolin and acoustic guitar.
While concertgoers can enjoy the show from any number of vantage points, a limited number of tables located directly in front of the performance area are available for only $40 per table. Each six-foot rectangular table seats six persons (chairs are included).
The Banks & Shane concert is the second of five performances in the City of Kennesaw's 2008 Summer Concert Series. Other upcoming featured bands include Frontiers - A Tribute to Journey, blues guitarist Roger "Hurricane Wilson", and The Great American Rock & Roll Revival featuring Damon Hendrix as Elvis and Butch & The Buckheads.
The Depot is located at 2828 Cherokee Street in Kennesaw, across the street from the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History.
