Directed by Linda Baker, and featuring over 40 volunteer performers, Robin Hood rediscovers the delightful story of the legendary outlaw from Sherwood Forest, who leads a band known as the Merry Men to "steal from the rich and give to the poor”. See all your favorite characters including Little John (Robin’s chief archer), Friar Tuck, Maid Marion (his beloved) and the evil sheriff of Nottingham.
Baker teaches and directs theater in Cobb County. She studied acting and dramatic arts at Penn State Erie University, and has worked at the Alliance Theater in Atlanta and at Kennesaw State University where she studied advanced directing and play analysis. Baker got her start as a performer in “West Side Story” at the Erie Playhouse, and later worked in film and television.
Robin Hood is the second stage work by The Flying Pigs Theatre Group to play at the Ben Robertson Community Center. In 2007, Baker directed Oz an adaptation of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum. For more information about the production contact Laurel Fleming, Special Events Coordinator, at (770) 422-9714 or e-mail lfleming@kennesaw-ga.gov.
