On Saturday, May 31 at 8 p.m. the tropical rock band A1A will make its annual pilgrimage to Kennesaw's historic train Depot to entertain "Parrot Heads" with renditions of Jimmy Buffett tunes such as Cheeseburger in Paradise, Volcano, Margaritaville and other favorites.
Since 1992, A1A has gained international recognition as The Official and Original Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show. From classic rock, acoustic, blues, oldies, easy listening, smooth jazz and back to Buffett, A1A just about covers it all.
While concertgoers can enjoy the band from any number of vantage points, a limited number of tables located directly in front of the performance area are available for only $40 per table. Each six-foot rectangular table seats six persons (chairs are included).
The A1A concert is the first of five performances in the City of Kennesaw's 2008 Summer Concert Series. Other featured bands include Atlanta's own Banks & Shane, Frontiers - A Tribute to Journey, blues guitarist Roger "Hurricane Wilson", and The Great American Rock & Roll Revival featuring Damon Hendrix as Elvis and Butch & The Buckheads.
The Depot is located at 2828 Cherokee Street in Kennesaw, across the street from the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History.
