In celebration of summer and before children head back to school, Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre is hosting the family-friendly event Movies at the Mable, featuring free screenings of several popular films. "Edward Scissorhands," Tim Burton's richly entertaining update of the Frankenstein story, will play Tuesday, July 24. Tuesday, July 31, will feature the lively, fun-loving look at the nature of true love, "The Princess Bride." "The Goonies," a movie with everything fun including crooks, cobwebs, skeletons, a lovable monster, an underground grotto and a hidden treasure, will play Tuesday, Aug. 7. All movies begin at 7:30 p.m. and will play rain or shine. Mable House Amphitheatre is located at 5239 Floyd oad in Mableton.
