Marietta Gone With the Wind Museum Presents Something Special for Movie Fans

The Marietta Gone With the Wind Museum will close at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 30 for a special event for the movie's fans:

Have dinner with a movie star and learn the secrets of old Hollywood at "The Heart and History of Hollywood" June 30-July 1 presented by the Marietta Gone With the Wind Museum: Scarlett on the Square.

The festivities will kick off Saturday, June 30 at 5:30 p.m. with a gala featuring a reception, dinner, and intimate evening with Robert Osborne, Hollywood historian and host of Turner Classic Movies, and actress Ann Rutherford, who portrayed Scarlett's younger sister, "Carreen" in the movie Gone With the Wind. She also starred as "Polly Benedict" girlfriend of Mickey Rooney's title character in the Andy Hardy movies, as well as co-starring with John Wayne, Lana Turner, and dozens of other Hollywood actors.

On Sunday, July 1, the guests will be on hand at 11 a.m. for a meet and greet autograph session at the Marietta Gone with the Wind Museum, 18 Whitlock Avenue.

The museum will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 1st for an autograph signing with Gone With the Wind cast member Ann Rutherford -- "Scarlett's" sister "Carreen" -- and Robert Osborne, host of Turner Classic Movies.

The Museum gift shop will also be open and collection owner, Dr. Chris Sullivan, will give tours.
