City of Marietta Fire investigators have arrested a suspect for the June 10, 2008, first degree arson of the Mattress Firm at 280 Cobb Parkway, south of Roswell Street and the Big Chicken.

Marietta Fire investigators arrested today Jemi Altamirano, a 19-year-old female, who is a former employee of the store that was set on fire in Marietta. Altamirano is in custody at the Cobb County adult detention center. Her photograph is available from the jail.

This arrest is for the fire at the Mattress Firm within the city limits of Marietta. The investigation is ongoing, and more details will be released as they become available.
