Are computer monitors and keyboards taking up basement space? Has the cassette player and CB radio outlived your old Camaro? Are broken, obsolete and unused electronics cluttering up your life? The City of Kennesaw’s Environmental Committee has a solution – recycle!

The Environmental Committee is sponsoring an Electronics Recycling Day on Saturday, June 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Adams Park in Kennesaw.

Not only will recycling your old electronics save you space, it will also keep them from taking up space in a landfill and ensure that these items are disposed in an environmentally friendly way.

Accepted items: Computer monitors, printers and CPU’s, stereos, copiers, video machines, laptops, record players, CD players, disk drives, VCR’s, telephones, cameras, CB radios, modems, scanners, radios, CD Roms, fax machines, cables, keyboards, 8-tracks.

Not accepted: Televisions of any kind, including console or projection TV’s, refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, freezers, humidifiers, de-humidifiers, power equipment, tires, household trash, non-electric equipment, vacuum cleaners.

Adams Park is located at 2600 Park Drive in Kennesaw, near the intersection of Cobb Parkway/Highway 41 and Watts Drive. For more information, visit www.kennesaw-ga.gov or call 770-424-8274.
