Dear Editor:
We live in Tatum Woods subdivision, next to Matt Elementary School, and our power provider is Sawnee EMC.
We have been having problems with outages all summer long. At least once a week during the daytime, our power goes out and then immediately comes back on. Upon contacting Sawnee about this problem, they sent someone out to put a monitor on our meter, and after nine days, determined our voltage was correct. We received that determination just yesterday morning. Then yesterday afternoon, 'lo and behold' the same thing occurs. Power goes out and comes back on immediately.
My husband contacted the person who had responded with the results and he said that yesterday's problem was a tripped breaker. When my husband spoke to one of their reps this afternoon they claimed they were aware of power outage problems but would not elaborate. Today between approximately Noon and 2:30 pm, we lost our power four times.
We could see this happening once or twice or once in awhile, but this is just getting to be a little too much. I work from home full-time and my husband works from home part-time. Both of our jobs require using the computer and this just cannot go on.
Thanks in advance for looking into this.
Sunny regards,
Lisa Colangelo
