On Sunday, May 20, over 200 young gymnasts and their families attended the City of Kennesaw Parks & Recreation Department's 11th Annual Spring Gymnastics Recital at the Kennesaw Community Center. The recital provided an opportunity for program participants to perform their skills in front of a crowd. Unlike many other sports -- where children have the opportunity to play in games or compete -- gymnastics is a sport where it can take years before competition is a possibility. This performance was designed to be a FUN and REWARDING time for all the hard work each child puts in to their gymnastics. Every child received a commemorative medal for their participation.
